The Eagles acquired cornerback Ronald Darby in a trade with the Bills on Friday that sent wide receiver Jordan Matthews to Buffalo. Here's what you need to know about Darby:

Darby has played two years in the NFL after being drafted in 2015 by Buffalo out of Florida State. He left the Seminoles after his junior season. As a sophomore in 2013, he was on the team that won the BCS national championship.

He was the No. 50 overall pick in 2015. As columnist David Murphy noted, the Bills selected Darby three picks after the Eagles drafted Eric Rowe.

(Dave also noted that Darby is the fourth Bills defensive back the Eagles have acquired since the 2015 season, after Corey Graham, Leodis McKelvin and Ron Brooks.)

In 29 career pro games, Darby has two interceptions, 121 tackles and 16 assists on tackles. Both of his interceptions came in 2015, when Pro Football Focus named him its Defensive Rookie of the Year.

Darby missed one game last year after suffering a concussion in a late-November contest against Jacksonville. It was suffered when Jaguars running back Chris Ivory tried to hurdle him, but ended up slamming his knee into Darby's helmet.

Heading into the 2017 season, Darby has two years left on a four-year, $4.56 million contract. According to Spotrac, he'll earn $800,426 this year and $1,008,139 next year. After that, he'll be an unrestricted free agent.
