The naked truth: Some Eagles players need an attitude adjustment

It depends on what you consider to be a streak. That may give you a little solace on the "oh and ten" run by our beloved Iggles at home.

It depends on what you consider to be a streak.

That may give you a little solace on the "oh and ten" run by our beloved Iggles at home. Maybe an old fashioned "streak" by a crazed fan running downfield and tackled by a security guard might lighten the load a bit. How about winning one in a row in "Our House!"

Nothing can be worse than the 0-11 start in 1968, when some frustrated rowdy snowballers revolted by using Santa as target practice at Franklin Field. I was there, by the way, having purchased my first set of season tickets in '66 when the total price of all home games was less than one ticket today.

Hey, maybe we ought to look at playing in Philly as the home team disadvantage. I can see the parking lot vendors pitching "Your House" tee shirts soon.

I'm just messing here and, like you, am frustrated -- but not to the point of jumping out of the nest.

The Birds are still the recipients of residuals left over from last season and are at a point today where "Who's at quarterback" is not an Abbott & Costello comedy skit. It's a serious problem that can't be fixed immediately, and to think otherwise is a one-way ticket to the funny farm.

To call for Chip's head is absurd and he deserves the right to repair the nest. It's amazing how quickly everybody has forgotten about the defense, which Billy Davis has somehow managed to make respectable.

I'll tell you one thing: There are a couple of attitudes that need to be adjusted on the offense right now. Our $50 million wide receiver isn't worth a dime if he keeps looking for the sideline after a catch or pulls a Dez Bryant when things don't go his way. Leaders need to lead and not sulk on the bench. Show us you care like we do - enough to pack the house when the 'Skins come to town, and always full of hope.

One in a row at home would be real nice right now, 'cause that's all it would take to get that streak going and sparking E-A-G-L-E-S! chants as we exit the stadium - rather than a collective shaking of our heads in disappointment.
