Juqua Parker reportedly signs with Browns

The Cleveland Browns are again a destination point for a former Eagles, as free-agent defensive end Juqua Parker agreed to terms on a 1-year contract, according to the NFL Network.

The deal is valued at a maximum of $3 million.

The Browns' general manager is Tom Heckert, the former Eagles' GM, and the team president is Mike Holmgren, the mentor of Eagles coach Andy Reid.

Parker had been with the Eagles since 2005 and started all 16 games as recently as 2008. He appeared in 12 games last season without making any starts. With his departure, the three senior members of the Eagles are all from the 2005 draft -- Trent Cole, Todd Herremans and Mike Patterson.

He recorded 31.5 sacks in his seven seasons. That ranks 13th on the Eagles all-time list.

He also finished his Eagles career with three touchdowns, all of at least 45. One came last season against the 49ers on a 55-yard interception return.

Wide receiver Steve Smith, who spent last season with the Eagles, is visiting the St. Louis Rams today, according to a report from Adam Caplan, of Sirius XM Radio.

Smith caught 11 passes and one touchdown in nine games with the Birds, coming off a microfracture knee surgery in the previous offseason. He ended the season on injured reserve with a bruised knee.
