Fan reaction to Eagles' selection of Vanderbilt WR Jordan Matthews

The Eagles made some more moves during the second round of the NFL Draft and wound up picking up the 42nd overall pick from the Tennessee Titans.

With that pick, the Eagles selected Vanderbilt wide receiver Jordan Matthews.

Eagles fans have yearned for a big-body receiver like Matthews for years, and the majority of them seemed to approve of him being the latest weapon in Chip Kelly’s offense.

The results in a philly.com poll about the selection have overwhelmingly positive so far. As of this writing, 45.6 percent of people that voted in our poll gave the selection of Matthews and “A” and 39.9 percent a “B”.

Eagles fans were even happier to know that Matthews is related to the greatest pass catcher in NFL history Jerry Rice.
