Eagles quarterback Nick Foles to serve as honorary captain for Soul game

When the Philadelphia Soul hosts the Jacksonville Sharks Saturday at the Wells Fargo Center, it will have a Pro Bowl quarterback lending moral support.

Eagles quarterback Nick Foles will serve as the honorary captain for the Soul (1-3) when it hosts the Sharks (2-2) in the team's home opener at 6 p.m.

The Soul face the Sharks after collecting its first win of the season last week by defeating the Orlando Predators, 69-56. The matchup between the Soul and the Sharks is a rematch of the last two American Conference title games, which were both won by the Soul.

Foles led the Eagles to a division title this past season after throwing for 2,891 yards, 27 touchdowns, only two interceptions and completed 64 percent of his passes in only 13 games.
