Domo's grades for Eagles-Bears

After each game, the Daily News' Paul Domowitch offers his grades on the Eagles' performance.

RUN OFFENSE

LeSean McCoy and the Eagles took advantage of the league's worst run defense. McCoy rushed for 133 yards and two touchdowns on 18 carries. As a team, the Eagles piled up 289 rushing yards against the porous Chicago run defense.

Grade: A-plus

PASS OFFENSE

Nick Foles warmed up for the Cowboys with a solid performance. He had just three incompletions on 17 attempts in the first half, and two of them were throwaways. He finished 21-for-25 for 230 yards and two scores.

Grade: A-plus

RUN DEFENSE

The Eagles did a good job neutralizing Matt Forte, who entered the game as the league's third-leading rusher with 1,200 yards. He was held to 8 yards on four carries in the first half and was tackled for a safety by Cedric Thornton in the third quarter.

Grade: A-plus

PASS DEFENSE

The Eagles did a good job on the two 6-4, 230-pound wideouts, Alshon Jeffery and Brandon Marshall. They sacked Jay Cutler three times in the first half and held him to 10 completions in 20 first-half attempts, though they continued to be vulnerable on third-and-long.

Grade: B-plus

SPECIAL TEAMS

The Eagles, who wouldn't kick to the Vikings' Cordarrelle Patterson last week on kickoffs and continually gave the Vikings good field position with short kicks, took their chances with Devin Hester and did a good job. Donnie Jones set the single-season franchise record for punts inside the 20. Alex Henery had a 49-yard field goal.

Grade: A

OVERALL

Even though the Cowboys' win over the Redskins earlier in the day made the game moot as far as the battle for the NFC East title was concerned, Chip Kelly played his starters and they totally dominated the Bears. The win should give the Eagles a lot of confidence heading to Dallas.

Grade: A-plus
