The NFL reduced the suspension against Pittsburgh Steelers running back Le'Veon Bell from three games to two Tuesday, leaving him eligible to play Sept. 27 against St. Louis.

The league initially suspended Bell for the first three games of the season for his arrest in August 2014 on DUI and drug charges.

Bell was arrested following a traffic stop with then-teammate LeGarrette Blount.

The 23-year-old all-pro was sentenced to 15 months of probation and entered a diversion program.

Blount, who went on to win a Super Bowl with New England, received a one-game suspension from the league and will miss the opener when Pittsburgh visits the Patriots.
