The man who decided to trade LeSean McCoy appeared at the Katz Jewish Community Center in Cherry Hill and spoke to a sold-out annual awards dinner for 15 minutes Tuesday night. Some fans wore McCoy's jersey. Chip Kelly never mentioned McCoy's name.

As Kelly left the gymnasium through a back door, he was asked three times by reporters if the Eagles were trading McCoy. Kelly did not respond. The only words he uttered were, "How ya doing?" to one reporter. He was flanked by vice president of team security Dom DiSandro, who kept reporters from asking Kelly questions before Kelly's appearance.

Kelly's speech focused on happiness, perseverance, and being grateful. He did not take questions from the onlookers, who bought tickets that started at $75 for entry.

"It's gotten me to the greatest sports city in the country," Kelly said about his philosophies. "It's really humbling to get to be the head coach of the Philadelphia Eagles. It's the best job in the world. I'm grateful for it every day."

He then thanked the audience and rushed into a cold, rainy night. On a day that brought three big moves and more unanswered questions, Kelly continued to fascinate.
