THE NFL conference championship games were a tale of two contests. The Seahawks came back from the dead for a 28-22 overtime win over the Packers on a walkoff touchdown catch by Jermaine Kearse. The Patriots were able to book their trip to Arizona for the Super Bowl before the third quarter was over in their game against the Colts, blowing out Indy, 45-7.

Before the Seahawks and Pats take the field in Super Bowl XLIX, take a look at 20 factoids about these two super teams:

Russell Wilson is 10-0 in his career, including playoff games, against Super Bowl-winning quarterbacks. He's 3-0 against Aaron Rodgers, 2-0 against Drew Brees, Peyton Manning and Eli Manning, and 1-0 against Tom Brady.

Wilson is only the second quarterback in NFL history to throw at least four interceptions in a playoff game and still win. The other was Joe Ferguson of the Buffalo Bills in a 1981 wild-card victory over the New York Jets.

Wilson will be the youngest quarterback to ever start two Super Bowls at 26 years and 64 days old on the date of this year's game, per ESPN. Who held the mark before Wilson? His opponent this time around, Brady.

The last team before the Seahawks to return to the Super Bowl the season after winning it was the Patriots in 2005 against the Eagles. New England repeated.

Seattle trailed 16-0 at halftime against the Packers. The comeback victory marked the fifth time in playoff history a team won after losing by at least 16 at halftime.

So much for the Madden curse: Richard Sherman, featured on the cover of Madden 15, and the Seahawks are the first Madden cover athlete and team combination to make the Super Bowl the year they were featured on the game's cover. Sherman suffered an arm injury in Sunday's victory, but tweeted, "Banged up but I will be ok .''

Seahawks coach Pete Carroll was fired from the same position with the Patriots following the 1999 season. Who replaced him? Patriots coach Bill Belichick.

The Seahawks have played the Patriots just once since the Carroll era began in 2010. The result? A 24-23 Seattle win in Week 6 of the 2012 season.

The Seahawks and Patriots ranked first and fourth, respectively, in Football Outsiders' overall Defensive-adjusted Value Over Average (DVOA) this season. This marks the second consecutive year that two teams in the top four in overall DVOA will meet in the Super Bowl. Seattle was first last season and the Denver Broncos were second.

The Wilson/Brady quarterback matchup will only be the second time since 1998 that quarterbacks with previous Super Bowl experience will start for their respective teams. The last time was the 2011 Super Bowl between Brady's Pats and Eli Manning's New York Giants.

The battle between Wilson (a third-round draft pick) and Brady (sixth-rounder) is the first time since the 2004 Super Bowl with Brady and the Carolina Panthers' Jake Delhomme (undrafted) that neither starting quarterback was a first-round draft pick.

This will be Brady's sixth Super Bowl start, the most in NFL history for a quarterback. He was previously tied for the most with former Denver great John Elway.

Brady will start Super Bowls 13 years apart, the longest range of Super Bowl starts for a quarterback ever. Elway previously held that honor, starting the 1987 Super Bowl and then 12 years later starting the 1999 game.

Belichick, a three-time Super Bowl winner, will attempt to tie Pittsburgh's Chuck Noll for the most Super Bowl wins ever for a coach at four.

LeGarrette Blount, after rushing for 148 yards and three touchdowns against Indianapolis, is the only player with multiple playoff games of three rushing touchdowns in NFL history, per ESPN.

The Patriots' 38-point victory is the third-largest win ever in a conference championship game. The 1990 Bills beat the Los Angeles Raiders in that season's AFC Championship, 51-3, and the 2000 Giants defeated the Minnesota Vikings, 41-0, in the NFC Championship.

The previous New England franchise high for margin of victory in a playoff game was 35, set during a 45-10 Pats win over the Broncos during the 2011 playoffs. The Patriots also made the Super Bowl that season, and lost to the Giants.

Belichick's 21 playoff wins as a coach are the most in NFL history.

Brady became the NFL's all-time leader in playoff passing yards against the Colts. He sits at 7,017 yards after topping Peyton Manning's 6,800 yards

Brady's 20 postseason wins are more than 21 entire NFL franchises, per CBS Sports. The Eagles are among those 21 teams.
