If you go by the numbers, Cowboys will win over the Eagles

Cowboys' Tony Romo and DeMarco Murray are having much better seasons than Mark Sanchez and LeSean McCoy.

COWBOYS (-3) over Eagles

Happy to have nailed spread winners the last 2 weeks on the Birds, and now looking for the hat trick. Both teams come in at 8-3, both teams have winning records against losing teams, and losing records against winning teams. So where is the edge? Huge Cowboys edge at QB (where Tony Romo is having arguably the best season of his career) and at RB (where DeMarco Murray is this season's LeSean McCoy). Only Aaron Rodgers has a higher passer rating than Romo, and, after an ugly season opener, Tony has thrown 21 TDs against only three interceptions. Turn to Mark Sanchez, and it's the turnovers that will kill ya. He has thrown six picks in four games, and Dallas is perfect when winning the turnover battle. Then you have Murray, who has gobbled up an amazing 1,354 yards in only 11 games, while McCoy is sitting at 859. And since the Green Birds have covered only two of the last seven on the road, as painful as it sounds, gotta roll with the Cowboys.

LIONS (-7) over Bears

Detroit is sitting at 7-4 after two straight road losses and still in the wild-card conversation. Getting back home should chase most of the demons, and covering seven of the previous nine against the NFC North will chase the rest. And if there are any demons left, all the Lions have to do is look at Chicago's Swiss cheese defense on the road, which has given up an astounding 189 points (an average of 31.5 points per game). Da Bears have a 3-12 spread record inside the division since 2012.

Seahawks (+1) over 49ERS

Not sure that Arizona will be able to hold on at the top of the NFC West without Carson Palmer, which makes this game huge. And Seattle has a way of coming up huge in huge games. Just ask the Broncos ... or ask the Packers ... or ask the Cardinals. And as an underdog, the Seahawks have been money — big money, covering 15 of the previous 17. Even though they have won three of four since the bye week, the Niners have struggled, and just don't have enough to get the "W" in this spot.
