JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Two Eagles cornerbacks left Saturday's 31-24 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars with injuries, further depleting a depth chart that was already thin in the defensive backfield.

Cornerback Brandon Hughes fractured his left hand playing on special teams in the first quarter. Eddie Whitley left the game in the third quarter with a right knee injury. He did not return.

Both were competing to make the roster, which is wide open beyond the top three cornerbacks. Their injuries might complicate the situation. The Eagles already lost cornerback Curtis Marsh to a fractured hand in the second preseason game.

Cary Williams, Bradley Fletcher, and Brandon Boykin are the only cornerbacks with secure roster spots. Hughes, Whitley, Jordan Poyer, and Trevard Lindley were vying for spots beyond the top three. There is no timetable for any of their returns. The Eagles could also add a cornerback after rosters are trimmed next weekend.

Marsh missed Saturday's game. Offensive tackle Dennis Kelly (back) and outside linebacker Phillip Hunt (knee) also did not play.

Remington to offense

Isaac Remington, who has been playing defensive line throughout much of the summer, dressed as an offensive lineman. Remington needed to change to No. 77. He is a longshot to make the roster, but the versatility is helpful - even if he lands on the practice squad.

Robinson sits

Newly acquired linebacker Adrian Robinson traveled with the team, but did not play. The Eagles traded Felix Jones to the Pittsburgh Steelers for the former Temple linebacker on Friday.

Open practice Monday

The Eagles practice at 11:40 a.m. on Monday at Lincoln Financial Field in the final open practice for fans. . . . The roster must be reduced to 75 players by 4 p.m. on Tuesday and must be at 53 players by 6 p.m. on Aug. 31.
