I can't believe I'm typing these words, but here it goes: On Friday morning the New York Giants signed former Eagles offensive guard Shawn Andrews to a contract. That's right. Shawn Andrews, that guy who hasn't really played in two years. I'm sure the Eagles had the same reaction I did upon hearing the news: Is Jerry Reese really that desperate?

Andrews is a heckuva player when healthy, but he hasn't been healthy in so long it's impossible to think he could be ready to go now. He's had back problems and battled depression. The Eagles gave Andrews every incentive to come back last season, signing his brother and his college roommate, and Andrews couldn't get it together.

Here's my question: Is there any way Andrews gets on the field for the Giants?

I'm more concerned about Andrews making his triumphant return to the Internet. I'm tired of Buzz Bissinger dominating Twitter, and I haven't seen a Michael Phelps freestyle video on YouTube in months.

I guess he's been too busy getting his Michael Phelps on to tweet. Nothing there since an April post about catfish. It is a pity.
