Vehicles say a lot about the owners

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - As veteran Eagles reported to Lehigh Thursday after a summer break, the most obvious comparison was the first day back at college.

But the event also had the feel of a car show as players pulled up to their dorms in all manner of vehicles with custom paint jobs, massive wheels, personal statements, and thumping sound systems.

Hank Baskett had a customized silver and black Chrysler 300 that many reporters mistook for a Bentley. DeSean Jackson, perhaps appropriately, had a speedy Porsche.

Close friends Brent Celek and Stewart Bradley drove nearly identical Lexus sedans, thought Bradley's was black and Celek's white.

The unofficial winner of the flashiest ride, car category, was Nick Cole, who drove in with a brand new, customized Chevrolet Camaro painted bright orange.

The truck category was too close to call between Juqua Parker and Stacy Andrews, each of whom arrived in monstrous maroon pickups riding high atop hydraulics.

Then there was Antonio Dixon, who showed up in a Honda Accord. He explained that his Dodge Charger got a flat, and he had to borrow his girlfriend's car.

Trent Cole made a late entry, and while his Cadillac Escalade pickup didn't match the size or flash of some other vehicles, his license plate put a nice summary on the day. It read: RIDEBIG.

Most of the Eagles players dread having to bunk with three other teammates in a closet-size dorm during training camp. Not Winston Justice.

"I'm kind of excited because I get to have my own bed to myself," the Eagles tackle said. "And you don't have a couple of kids at home crying all the time."

Justice's wife, Dania, gave birth to their second child, a girl, on July 23. The couple also have a 2-year-old son.

And the new baby's name is?

"Calais," Justice said.

How do you spell that?

"It's so new, I have to look it up," he said.
