Funeral arrangements have been announced for Rollie Massimino, the charismatic basketball coach who guided Villanova on a magical run to its first national championship in 1985.

A viewing for Mr. Massimino, who passed away last week at 82 after a lengthy battle with lung cancer and other illnesses, will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on campus Monday at St. Thomas of Villanova Church.

A funeral Mass will take place Tuesday morning at 10:30 at the same site.

The Mass will be broadcast via a live stream in the Villanova Room and the Cinema in the nearby Connelly Center to handle overflow from the church. A live stream of the Mass also will be available online.

To help those who might have trouble playing the video stream, the university is telling people to confirm that their computer/mobile device meets the viewing requirements.

Here is the parking information:

Follow signs on Lancaster Avenue for the L-2 parking area across from the Church. Overflow parking will be in I-1 (the new Ithan garage on S. Ithan Avenue). Shuttles will be available from the I-1 garage to the Church both days. Guests with special needs should enter campus through the Spring Mill Road/Rte. 320 entrance where Public Safety staff will direct you to parking near the Church.
