Evan Boozer, whose brother Cole is a redshirt senior offensive lineman at Temple, has committed to the Owls' football program.

A 6-foot-4, 235-pound defensive end from Loyola Blakefield in Towson, Md., Boozer said he had 11 scholarship offers.

Asked if his brother's presence at Temple was a factor, Boozer replied in a phone interview, "I won't say a major factor. I had several offers, but I really liked what Temple had to offer."

Boozer is extremely familiar with the program. He has attended several Temple games over the years, including last season's AAC championship-game win at Navy and the Military Bowl loss to Wake Forest, also at Navy.

He said he made his decision a few days ago, but didn't put it out on Twitter until Friday.

"I am so relieved to have the decision made," he said. "I was really stressed out."

Among his other offers were ones from Delaware, Old Dominion and UConn.

"I was really impressed with the coaching staff at Temple," he said.

Boozer is the 13th commitment for the Class of 2018.
