The American Athletic Conference today announced the schedule format for the 2015-18 football seasons.
The 2015 season marks the league’s expansion to 12 teams as newcomer Navy joins the conference. Temple will be joined in the East Division by South Florida, East Carolina, UConn, Cincinnati, and Central Florida. The West Division will include Memphis, Houston, Navy, SMU, Tulane, and Tulsa.
Next season, the Owls will host conference opponents UCF, Memphis, UConn, and Tulane. The Owls will play at Cincinnati, East Carolina, USF, and SMU. Dates for these games will be set in the spring.
Temple’s 2015 non-conference slate will include games at Lincoln Financial Field vs. Penn State (Saturday, Sept. 5) and Notre Dame (Saturday, October 31). The non-conference road games include UMass (Saturday, Sept. 19) and Charlotte (Saturday, Oct. 3).
