Local defensive lineman commits to Temple

Christian Barmore, who is transferring from Delaware Valley Charter to Neumann-Goretti, has made an oral commitment to Temple. The Owls have received their seventh football commitment in the last eight days.

Christian Barmore, a 6-foot-6, 295-pound defensive lineman from Delaware Valley Charter who will be transferring to Neumann-Goretti his senior year, has made an oral commitment to attend Temple.

Barmore made the announcement on Twitter.

"His best attribute is that he has a high motor, is very athletic and has a passion for the game," said Troy Gore, Barmore's coach at Delaware Valley Charter, a school that is scheduled to close at the end of the school year although there are factions still fighting the decision.

Barmore is the eighth commitment for the class of 2018 and the seventh in the last eight days.
