Source: Temple close to naming new football coach

A Temple source says that the hiring of the next football coach is imminent. Although the identity of the potential new hire cannot be confirmed, the school is reportedly trying to finalize details.

The source added that the hire will come from the college ranks, and that it will not be Temple defensive coordinator Phil Snow. Last week after Matt Rhule's departure for Baylor, Temple students and players rallied via a social media campaign around Snow's candidacy for the position.
