Temple announced a 10-year partnership extension with Under Armour on Monday to continue providing uniforms, apparel and footwear for the university's 19 varsity sports teams.

Temple and Under Armour declined to comment to The Inquirer on the financial details. However, two sources said that the 10-year extension is worth $30 million. The sources said that the previous five-year deal totaled $1.5 million, so the extension will be for 10 times the annual amount.

"We are very excited to announce this new, enhanced partnership with Under Armour," athletic director Patrick Kraft said in a statement. ". . . This new partnership will continue to provide our student-athletes with state-of-the-art product and will help to increase the visibility of our brand on a national level."

According to Danielle Daly, Under Armour's senior manager, global communications and entertainment, the company has relationships with more than 40 Division I universities, 31 of which are all-sports deals.

"We are honored to extend our partnership with Temple University for the next decade and continue to provide their student-athletes with innovative gear to train and compete in," company vice president Ryan Kuehl said in a statement released by Temple.

Temple's men's sports are basketball, crew, cross-country, football, golf, soccer, and tennis.

The women's sports are basketball, cross-country, fencing, field hockey, gymnastics, lacrosse, rowing, soccer, tennis, indoor track and field, outdoor track and field, and volleyball.
