Anthony Lee has decided to transfer from Temple. The redshirt junior center informed Owls coach Fran Dunphy of his decision on Monday. Dunphy will grant the 6-foot-9, 230-pounder his release.

"I met with Anthony Lee and he has expressed an intent to pursue his option to utilize the NCAA graduate student exception rule and transfer to another school," Dunphy said. "Anthony has been a fine member of the Temple basketball family over his four years here and we will support any decisions he feels are in his and his family's best interests. We wish him well in the future."

Lee, who is scheduled to graduate in May, has one year of eligibility remaining and will be able to play right away, assuming he enrolls at a university's graduate program not offered at Temple.

He averaged 13.6 points and 8.6 rebounds this season for the 9-22 Owls.
