Temple women defeat Fordham

Qwedia Wallace scored 17 points as Temple snapped a three-game losing streak with a 67-34 win over visiting Fordham at McGonigle Hall last night.

Wallace was 5-for-9 from beyond the three-point arc. BJ Williams (10 assists) and Kristen McCarthy added 13 points each for Temple (11-5, 1-1 Atlantic 10).

Fordham fell to 6-11, 0-2.

In another game:

* At Charlotte, Jamie Walsh's 20 points weren't enough as La Salle lost to the 49ers, 69-60.

Morgan Robertson added 10 points for the Explorers (5-12, 0-2 Atlantic 10).

Charlotte (8-8, 1-1) was led by Kendria Holmes and Shannon McCallum, who scored 13 points each.
