Penn State players, fans attack reporter on Twitter

Penn Live dispatched reporter Anna Orso to report on the frivolities of "State Patty's Day," which she did, and found herself in the presence of some of the more high profile Nittany Lions from new football coach James Franklin's squad.

"State Patty's Day" is a day in March that comes before the actual holiday of St. Patrick's Day on Penn State's main campus and has been said to lead to "unparalleled levels of debauchery."

This is done so that the student body can still celebrate St. Patrick's Day, as many of them will be off-campus during the actual St. Patrick's Day holiday, which tends to fall over spring break.

Penn Live dispatched reporter Anna Orso to report on the frivolities, which she did, and found herself in the presence of some of the more high profile Nittany Lions from new football coach James Franklin's squad.

I just saw Michael O'Connor and Antoine White walking down Beaver Ave. O'Connor could hardly stand, fell into the street, was almost hit.
When White told O'Connor to calm down so coach doesn't find out, he responded "Franklin doesn't know sh--."

Complaints rolled in, primarily from current or former students of Penn State. One tweeter (@rsilver_22) suggested Orso "get hit by a car for tweeting this." Another (@JimmyKoury) claimed the story was "just not something you report on."

Players also chimed in. Freshman wide receiver DaeSean Hamilton tweeted at Orso to "DELETE THIS," and O'Connor himself asked her "what are you talking about," both of which have since been deleted.

The school is "looking into the matter."
