Report: Ex-Penn State assistant Mike McQueary, key witness in Sandusky trial, admits to being victim of sexual abuse
Former quarterback and assistant coach Mike McQueary reportedly confessed to PSU players that he was abused as a child.
Three former Penn State officials - president Graham Spanier, athletic director Tim Curley, and vice president Gary Schultz - face charges of conspiracy in the coming months, accused of covering up the sexual misconduct of Jerry Sandusky.
A key witness in the trial will be Mike McQueary, a former Penn State quarterback and assistant coach, who walked in on a child being sexually assaulted by Sandusky in 2001, and received criticism for not stopping it.
It recently came to light that McQueary made an as yet unheard confession to PSU players in a November 2011 closed door meeting.

"Mike McQueary confided to a dozen Nittany Lions players that he could relate to the helplessness of the young boy he had seen with Sandusky in a campus shower a decade earlier because he was abused as a boy, according to two players who attended the meeting and four others with knowledge of it. McQueary did not tell the players who had abused him or when or how long the abuse had occurred, the sources said."
"McQueary's meeting with Penn State receivers was held on Nov. 9, 2011, just days after prosecutors revealed, in a 23-page presentment, that McQueary had seen Sandusky and a young boy engaged in 'anal intercourse' in the Lasch Football Building on campus a decade earlier."
He has not commented on his own abuse, but did reiterate his admiration of former coach Joe Paterno, who was fired in November 2011 and passed away in January 2012.
McQueary will be called to testify against Spanier, Curley, and Schultz, all of whom claim McQueary never came to them after witnessing Sandusky assault a child. Five times now McQueary has told his account under oath, and lawyers for the defense will attempt to find holes by comparing each telling. The defense is also expected to bring up certain incidents to poison the image of McQueary's character.
One issue to be particularly scrutinized involves McQueary gambling on college and pro football games - including one between PSU and Michigan State in November 1996 - while still a player at Penn State and in the years following.
