Cameron Sullivan-Brown, a wide receiver from Laurel, Md., announced Friday on Twitter that he has committed to Penn State for the freshman class of 2017.

The 6-foot-1, 176-pound Sullivan-Brown, who plays for St. Vincent Pallotti High School, said he was "beyond blessed for this gift. . . . With the help and guidance of my loved ones, I have decided to fully commit to Penn State."

Sullivan-Brown, rated as a three-star player by most recruiting web sites, chose Penn State over Maryland, Duke, Syracuse, Northwestern, Virginia Tech and West Virginia. He is the 12th player - the fourth since July 20 - to make an oral commitment in the class of 2017 and only the second offensive player who is not a lineman.
