Anthony Alosi, 21, a redshirt junior from Marlton who is a backup offensive lineman for Penn State, awaits a hearing later this month on simple assault charges stemming from a January altercation in downtown State College. He is also charged with harassment in the Jan. 31 incident, according to court documents.

State College police did not file charges in the case until March 21. A hearing is scheduled for April 23 in Centre County Court before Magisterial District Judge Steven Lachman.

A Penn State spokesman said the football program was aware of the incident but had no comment.

Alosi was an All-South Jersey player as an offensive tackle at Cherokee High School.

In another incident, linebacker Jason Cabinda, part of the Nittany Lions' 2014 freshman class, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence last month in Raritan Township, N.J., according to NJ.com.
