Despite rallies, Penn falls to Navy

Zack Rosen and Jack Eggleson each scored 18 points for the winless Quakers (0-5), and Rob Belcore finished with 12 points.

Jordan Sugars scored 21 points and grabbed 12 rebounds for Navy (4-4), while Romeo Garcia scored 16 points.

Navy coach Billy Lange is a 1994 graduate of Rowan.

Rosen was deadly in three-point shooting, connecting on 5 of 7 attempts.

Overall, the Quakers connected for 10 treys.

In the second half, Navy built an eight-point lead when the Quakers rallied on a shot by Eggleston and a Rosen three-pointer to pull within 63-60 with 2 minutes, 49 seconds to play.

Navy held a six-point lead when Eggleston gave the Quakers life with a trey to make it 70-67 with 29 seconds remaining.

But then Chris Harris hit two foul shots for the Midshipmen.

The Quakers missed two field-goal attempts and Eggleston missed two foul shots, which sealed the outcome.
