Drexel has placed Thomas on interim suspension pending the outcome of the investigation. He will not play in the Colonial Athletic Association Tournament, which starts Friday in Richmond, Va., according to a Drexel spokesman. The Dragons' first game will be Saturday.

According to the statement, the university's Department of Public Safety is fully cooperating with the Philadelphia Police Department in the investigation.

Thomas had started 26games, averaging 31.9 minutes of playing time. He averaged 8.0 points per game and was second on the team with 58 assists.
