Arizona State vs. Texas A&M

At Houston, 7 p.m., ESPN

The Sun Devils are ranked (No. 15), but it's the Aggies, winners of 15 consecutive nonconference games, who are the favorites. Mike Bercovici, the ASU starting quarterback, played in four games last season replacing the injured Taylor Kelly. Kyle Allen took over as A&M's starter last season after Kenny Hill was benched.

Wisconsin vs. Alabama

At Arlington, Texas, 8 p.m., 6ABC

The Crimson Tide will get its talented front seven after the Badgers' offensive line, which has been troubled by injuries, and that may spell trouble for running back Corey Clement. The identity of Alabama's starting quarterback (Jake Coker? Alec Morris? Cooper Bateman?) won't be known until the Tide's first possession.

Ohio State at Virginia Tech

Monday at 8 p.m., ESPN

The Buckeyes recovered last year from a shocking opening-game loss to the Hokies to win the national championship. They must be careful again against a Tech team that wants to make a statement about returning to the national conversation. Look to see whether J.T. Barrett or Cardale Jones starts at QB for Ohio State.
