CCP opens NJCAA regional play tonight

Community College of Philadelphia opens the NJCAA Region XIX Division III Tournament at 6:30 tonight at home against Lehigh Carbon Community College.

The seventh-ranked Colonials are led by Rafiq Johnson (first-team All-Eastern Pennsylvania Athletic Conference) and Marcus Smith (second team). The 23-2 Colonials are coached by Joe Rome, who was the EPAC coach of the year. There is no admission charge to tonight's game.

If CCP wins tonight, it will play at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the Brookdale Recreation and Events Center in Lincroft, N.J.
