A-10 honors area lacrosse players

The Atlantic Ten Conference has selected Katie Ferris of Massachusetts, Mary Flowers of Richmond, and Liz Walker of Duquesne as the lacrosse offensive player, midfielder, and defensive player of the year. Duquesne's Amanda Kidder was named rookie of the year and UMass's Angela McMahon was coach of the year.

The Atlantic Ten Conference has selected Katie Ferris of Massachusetts, Mary Flowers of Richmond, and Liz Walker of Duquesne as the lacrosse offensive player, midfielder, and defensive player of the year. Duquesne's Amanda Kidder was named rookie of the year and UMass's Angela McMahon was coach of the year.

Temple midfielder Steph Markunas (Ridley) was named to the all-conference first team, and defender Lauren Caminiti (North Penn) was named to the second team. Also on the second team were St. Joseph's defender Elizabeth Fox (Cherokee), and three La Salle players: defender Rachel Baker (Montclair), goalkeeper Megan Corliss (Archbishop Carroll), and midfielder Melanie Sarcinello (Marple Newtown).

Sarcinello was also named to the academic all-conference team. She was joined by teammate Jackie Roebuck (Marple Newtown), Temple's Allison McWilliams (Avon Grove), and Missy Schweitzer (Owen J. Roberts).

Julia Falcone (West Chester East) of St. Joseph's made the all-rookie team as did Temple's Molly Seefried (Abington).
