Hopkins/Kovalev on HBO
'24/7' special features their preparations for fight.
HBO's "24/7" special featuring Bernard Hopkins and Sergey Kovalev airs tomorrow night following the broadcast of Gennady Golovkin's middleweight title defense against Marco Antonio Rubio in Carson, Calif.
The 30-minute episode, set to start at 12:15 a.m. ET, follows Hopkins (55-6-2, 32 knockouts), the Philadelphia boxing icon, and Kovalev (25-0-1, 23 KOs) in their preparations for the Nov. 8 light heavyweight unification bout at Atlantic City's Boardwalk Hall. Hopkins trains out of Philly while Kovalev, a 31-year-old from Russia, trains out of Big Bear Lake, Calif.
After it airs, "24/7 Hopkins/Kovalev" will replay 17 times on HBO and HBO2 before Nov. 8.
