Philly's 'USS' in televised bout Oct. 18

Heavyweight Steve 'USS' Cunningham will fight unbeaten Natu Visinia at the 2300 Arena in South Philly.

PHILADELPHIA heavyweight Steve "USS" Cunningham returns to the ring Oct. 18 for a televised bout at South Philly's 2300 Arena, six months after his dramatic, come-from-behind win over Amir Mansour at Temple's Liacouras Center.

Cunningham (27-6, 12 knockouts), a 38-year-old former two-time cruiserweight champ, will fight the undefeated Natu Visinia (10-0, 8 KOs), of Lakewood, Calif. It will headline NBCSN's "Fight Night" broadcast.

"This is the third undefeated heavyweight that I am facing and he has more career heavyweight fights than I do," Cunningham said in a news release. "I have fought more undefeated heavyweight fighters than some heavyweights fight in their entire career. I am up for the challenge. It is always a challenge fighting a young untested fighter, but a job has to be done. We are going to do the job, get this victory and be impressive."
