D Jordan Harvey (left knee sprain)

The game notes also listed the following players as "probable starters." That designation didn't mean much last time, but it's worth publishing anyway:

Goalkeeper: Chris Seitz
Defenders: Jordan Harvey, Danny Califf, Shavar Thomas, Michael Orozco
Midfielders: Stefani Miglioranzi, Roger Torres, Fred
Forwards: Sebastien Le Toux, Alejandro Moreno, Jack McInerney

The game will be broadcast on Fox Soccer Channel, with Dave Johnson and Christopher Sullivan in the booth. Todd Grisham will host the pregame show and Katie Witham will report from the sidelines.

FSC can be found on channel 725 on Comcast, channel 619 on DirecTV and channel 149 on Dish Network.

For the record, Lincoln Financial Field's dimensions are listed as 110 yards long by 68 yards wide. The minimum requirements to meet FIFA's standards is 70 yards. That won't matter for MLS, but as I've said before, the field will have to be widened in order for the Linc to host World Cup matches.

As you may have heard by now, Vice President Joe Biden and former U.S. national team star Walter Bahr will be featured in Saturday's pregame ceremonies. There's no word as of now about any specific security measures being taken, but if you weren't planning on getting to the game early, you might want to consider it.

The Sons of Ben's latest Almanack contains a list of items that will be prohibited at the stadium. They include streamers, which is a shame. Hopefully that won't last. Streamers have a proud history in Philadelphia, especially with Big 5 basketball. It would be great to incorporate that tradition into the region's newest sport.

Finally, I'll be at Dilworth Plaza at noon today for the Union's pep rally. If you see me, do say hello.
