Trends of the 2013-14 Sixers season

The Sixers coaching search is still up in the air, but at least their schedule is set.

Here are some interesting notes on the season, courtesy of Sixers.com:

The Sixers will play their 82-game 2013-14 season over the course of 168 days.

They will play 17 of those games in October/November, 13 in December, 16 games in each January and March, 11 in February, and finally 8 in April.

A total of 24 of these games will take place over a weekend; 20 will be on a Saturday, while 4 fall on a Sunday.

The team's longest home stand of the season consists of five games, and will run from March 12 to March 21st.

The team's longest road trip will take place over the holidays while "Disney on Ice" utilizes the Wells Fargo Center. They will be away from home for six straight games, spanning from December 21st to January 4th.

The Sixers are also set to play 20 back-to-backs throughout the 2013-14 season, three more than their total from last season.

The team opens and closes the season against the defending champion Miami Heat.
