Report: Jets have inquired about DeSean Jackson

Throw the New York Jets into the conversation of teams that are reportedly interested in trading for Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson.

According to NFL.com's Ian Rapoport, the Jets have inquired about receiving Jackson's services.

#Jets host Michael Vick Friday & worth noting they are among teams who have inquired about DeSean Jackson via trade. Vick & DeSean are close

The Jets will host free-agent quarterback Michael Vick Friday and could try to sweeten the deal by landing Jackson, who according to Rapoport, are close friends.

The familiarity of the Jets' offense won't be much of an issue for the two, as former Eagles offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg is calling the plays in New York.

According to Sheil Kapadia of PhillyMag.com, the Jets currently have more than $26 million in cap space and have already landed wide receiver Eric Decker in free agency.
