RUSHING OFFENSE

The Eagles became just the second team this season to rush for 100-plus yards (101 on 26 carries) against the Vikings. Ryan Mathews, who picked up 56 yards on 14 carries, gained 20 on a beautifully blocked third-and-9 draw just before the half that set up a Caleb Sturgis field goal.

GRADE: B

PASSING OFFENSE

Carson Wentz made a couple of really poor decisions early that resulted in a pair of first-quarter interceptions. But he settled down after that. The Vikings' defense, which came in ranked fourth in the league in sacks per pass play, didn't sack Wentz once. His five-yard TD throw to Dorial Green-Beckham with 5:45 left in the third quarter gave the Eagles an 18-3 lead.

GRADE: C-plus

RUN DEFENSE

With the exception of the 29-yard, third-and-14 run they gave up to Matt Asiata late in the third quarter, the Eagles didn't allow the league's worst rushing team to do much damage, holding the Vikings to 3.4 yards per carry and just one double-digit-yard run.

GRADE: B

PASS DEFENSE

Jim Schwartz's defense, which was held without a sack last week against the Redskins, made Sam Bradford's life miserable. The Eagles pressured him with a four-man rush and zone blitzes, sacking him six times and forcing two fumbles and a red-zone interception.

GRADE: A-plus

SPECIAL TEAMS

Josh Huff's 98-yard kickoff return for a TD in the second quarter gave the Eagles a lead they would never relinquish. Caleb Sturgis had two field goals and didn't allow a return on any of his five kickoffs. The Eagles' punt-coverage unit held dangerous Marcus Sherels to 4.5 yards per return.

GRADE: A-plus

OVERALL

Jim Schwartz's defense bounced back from a poor performance against Washington in a big way, sacking Sam Bradford six times and forcing four turnovers from a team that came into the Linc with a league-low one giveaway. The win should give the Eagles some confidence heading into Sunday night's important division game at the Cowboys.
