NBA draft profile: Buddy Hield

Here is a look at Buddy Hield, one of the best shooting guards available in Thursday's NBA draft:

School: Oklahoma.

Height: 6-foot-4.

Weight: 212 pounds.

Skinny: Hield averaged 25 points, 5.7 rebounds, and 2.0 assists and led the NCAA in three-point percentage (45.7) last season. He won the Wooden, Oscar Robertson, and Naismith player of the year awards.

NBA executive's take: "With Buddy Hield, you basically know what you are going to get, because he's an older draft prospect. He's a great shooter. He's a great kid. He works hard. I don't think there are a lot of surprises with him. In the game today where the three-point shot is so valuable, you look at the Golden State Warriors, how the team is built, he's a wanted commodity."

NBA scout's take: "Buddy Hield is a player that's ready to contribute Day 1 of his NBA career. He was the best catch-and-shoot player in college. He has NBA range, but has a limited ceiling. What you see is what you get. I don't know much better he will get."
