No parade, but MCW cheering

ORLANDO - On the surface, the only things the 76ers got out of winning the Orlando Pro Summer League were celebratory T-shirts and baseball caps. Oh, and they also stood at the Amway Center practice gym's center court for a team photo.

There won't be any banners being hung at the Wells Fargo Center or parades on Broad Street for beating the Grizzlies, 91-75, in Friday's championship game.

Yet, it was something the Sixers can build upon, especially after a 19-63 season.

"Any positivity for the Sixers is great," said point guard Michael Carter-Williams, who was on hand to support the team's summer-league squad. "Us getting new players and winning games, and winning summer-league games is definitely a positive. There's a positive and negative to every situation.

"We could have gone 0-5. But we came out here and did the things we were supposed to do."

After losing their opening game, the Sixers finished the tourney with a four-game winning streak.
