Manziel has memorable Memorial Day

BY NOW, you've heard that Browns rookie quarterback Johnny Manziel partied in Las Vegas over the weekend.

And did it up right.

There are photos of him and Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski surrounded by bikini-clad hotties. Photos of Manziel and UFC president Dana White. There's even a pic of Manziel hanging out with Paulie D of "Jersey Shore" fame.

Apparently, when you are Johnny Football, what happens in Vegas doesn't stay in Vegas.

Not surprisingly, the 21-year-old's behavior caused a bit of a stir. Even though he brought his playbook along and swears he studied it.

Even though he showed up on time at the Browns OTAs yesterday.

As far as we know, no one reported on what any of the other Browns players did over the weekend.

Why? Because no one cares.

While some overreacted to Manziel's partying, former Eagles defensive back Herm Edwards got it right.

"It's Memorial Day," Edwards said on ESPN. "People have parties on Memorial Day. It doesn't bother me at all."

Not all outgoing NBA owners are cut from the same cloth.

On one hand, there's Clippers' Donald Sterling, who will be forever remembered as an insensitive, racist jerk.

On the other, there's the Bucks' Herb Kohl, who mailed employees of the BMO Harris Bradley Center a letter of thanks, along with a check for $500.

Kohl, a former U.S. senator, bought the team in 1985 and recently sold it to Wesley Edens and Marc Lasry for about $550 million.

Last month, Kohl pledged $100 million, an amount that will be matched by the new owners, to build a new state-of-the-art arena that will ensure the team remains in Milwaukee.
