What 6 top political cartoonists thought about Trump this week

Three members of Trump's president campaign were all charged this week with federal crimes. So much for his ability to recruit "the best people."

It's Mueller time.

Monday was judgement day for three former members of President Trump's election campaign. Paul Manafort and Rick Gates were charged by special counsel Robert Mueller with conspiracy against the United States, money laundering and making false statements. George Papadopoulos, a foreign policy adviser during the campaign, pled guilty to lying to investigators about his links to the Russian government. He also may have just gotten Attorney General Jeff Sessions into a bit of trouble.

So much for Trump's ability to recruit only "the best people."

Some Republicans appear to be getting worried. On Friday, three conservative House Republicans filed a resolution calling on Mueller to step away from the probe. Other Republicans have expressed support for Mueller and his investigation. And White House chief of staff John Kelly said the it's very distracting for the president "to be investigated for something."

And Trump? He's not worried. At least, that's what he told the New York Times.

Here's what six of the nation's top political cartoonists thought of Mueller's coming out party, and what it means for President Trump:
