As an Italian American, I took offense at the cartoon showing Mr. Scaramucci surrounded by mobsters assumed to be part of the mafia. Just because of his inappropriate comments concerning Reince Priebus, the cartoonist immediately turns to an Italian American stereotype — in bullying the White House staff he must be in the mafia. I wonder if you would have allowed a cartoon showing the stereotype of Mr. Scaramucci if he was a different ethnic group. It appears that Italian Americans are the only ethnic group not protected in today’s politically correct environment.
