Letters: Canceled SEPTA trains dash Eagles fans' buzz

I took SEPTA Regional Rail from Paoli to Center City on Sunday for the Eagles' exciting win. The return trip was a horror show, with several Malvern-bound trains - scheduled to run hourly - canceled in succession, while hundreds of Eagles fans waited helplessly at Suburban Station. The next morning, I read on SEPTA's Twitter feed that 24 trains were canceled Sunday because of "crew shortages." When SEPTA cannot staff its trains, it should simply say so and let everyone know that rail service is no longer available. That would be a far more honest and ethical approach than purporting to offer service that management knows it cannot deliver.
