Letters: Clinton better off with male VP
ISSUE | CAMPAIGN 2016 Not Warren for VP I disagree with the commentary arguing that Sen. Elizabeth Warren would be a good vice presidential choice for Hillary Clinton ("Clinton needs strong progressive," Tuesday). While I like Warren, an all-female ticket would make many male Americans feel disenfranchised.

Not Warren for VP
I disagree with the commentary arguing that
Sen. Elizabeth Warren would be a good vice presidential choice for Hillary Clinton ("Clinton needs strong progressive," Tuesday). While I like Warren, an all-female ticket would make many male Americans feel disenfranchised.
If Sen. Barack Obama had chosen a black running mate in 2008, it might have put an overly racial spin on the ticket. Instead, he chose Sen. Joe Biden, which gave the team diversity.
Clinton's choice of a strong and progressive male would show inclusion. And although Warren's bombastic approach toward Donald Trump is entertaining, it's best if the Clinton campaign back off from that tit-for-tat approach and stick to the issues. Let Trump spew his senseless, name-calling barbs.
