ISSUE | GENDER RIGHTS Bathroom brouhaha We have had transgender people for quite some time. Why is it only now that the bathroom they use is such a problem ("Local schools should make their rules," Thursday)? What did they do before this? Why can't we return to those good old days when nobody saw it as a problem?

Bathroom brouhaha
We have had transgender people for quite some time. Why is it only now that the bathroom they use is such a problem ("Local schools should make their rules," Thursday)? What did they do before this? Why can't we return to those good old days when nobody saw it as a problem?
The problem seems to be caused by both sides. The politically correct group is making it a signage issue, while the bigots are trying to pass unnecessary laws.
