Bernard Davidson, 90, of Drexel Hill, a dentist who cared for patients in Delaware County for almost 60 years, died of septicemia March 12 at Hahnemann University Hospital.

A native of North Philadelphia, Dr. Davidson earned a dental degree from Temple University. During World War II, he served in the Coast Guard in the States.

After the war, he established a dental office in his home in Drexel Hill and continued to practice until six years ago. He was an enthusiastic pairs figure skater, his daughter Barbara said, and played tennis into his 80s. He enjoyed tinkering and was known as a man who could fix anything, especially electrical appliances.

In addition to his daughter, Dr. Davidson is survived by daughters Susan Protas and Ann; and two grandchildren. His wife of more than 60 years, Julia Baruch Davidson, died in 2001; a son, Steven, died in 1977.

The funeral and burial were private.
