Old Man Winter isn't going anywhere, judging by a look at this week's forecast for the Philadelphia region.

Snow is expected to make its way into the area early Tuesday and last throughout most of the afternoon, according to the National Weather Service. There won't be much, though. Daytime accumulation might be less than an inch, according to weather service's forecast.

The snow will fall between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., with the high reaching 35 degrees. Heading out at night? Bundle up. The low is expected to drop to a chilly 20 degrees, becoming windy with gusts reaching up to nearly 25 mph.

And there could be more snow to come by the end of the week. Wednesday will be sunny with a high near 40 degrees and a low near 30, while Thursday looks to be a bit more mild with a high in the upper 40s expected.

Rain is expected Thursday night, and could turn into a wintry mix with snow late before likely turning into all-snow early Friday.

Highs on Friday and Saturday will only reach the mid 30. There's a 40 percent chance of rain and snow on Sunday, when the high climbs to the low 40s before falling to the high 20s at night.

AccuWeather forecasters said Philly will only get a "grazing" of snow Tuesday while other areas in northwest Pennsylvania will get harder hit. Still, there's still a chance of slippery conditions on untreated roads and sidewalks.

"Regardless of which storm delivers snow to a given community, a return to much colder conditions is certain across the Northeast Tuesday into Wednesday," AccuWeather forecaster Kristina Pydynowski wrote in an update Tuesday.
