BRYN ATHYN Bryn Athyn College, a small liberal arts school in northeastern Montgomery County, has signed a new partnership allowing its students to attend nursing classes at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia.
Under the agreement signed Wednesday, students can obtain a bachelor of science degree in nursing while still getting their liberal arts courses at Bryn Athyn.
They can do so either through dual admission, attending both schools simultaneously, or through a transfer program, attending Bryn Athyn for the first two years and Jefferson for the last two.
"It really is a wonderful opportunity for both of our institutions to work together to prepare critical-thinking, successful nurses," Beth Ann Swan, dean of Jefferson's School of Nursing, said in a statement.
The program will begin in the fall of 2015. - Jessica Parks
