Male, 19, shot in the face and leg in Spring Garden

A 19-year-old male is in critical condition after being shot in the face and leg in the city's Spring Garden neighborhood, police said.

The young man was shot once in the face and once in the leg at 11:13 p.m. Friday on the 1600 block of Wallace Street, police said.

He was taken to Hahnemann University Hospital, according to information provided by Officer Jillian Russell, a spokeswoman for the Philadelphia police department.

No arrests have been made.
