Police have released the identities of three men killed in shootings Saturday in North and South Philadelphia. A fourth man was wounded in one of the shootings.

Michael Butler, 46, and Robert Alvin, 39, were fatally shot around 12:30 a.m. near 17th Street and West Susquehanna Avenue in North Philadelphia, not far from Temple University, according to police. Both were pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities did not release addresses for Butler and Alvin or provide a possible motive.

About 4 a.m., Adolf Bradford, 25, of Edgewater Park, was fatally shot inside a gray car on the 1000 block of Columbus Boulevard in South Philadelphia. He died at the scene. Another man, also in his 20s, was found near the car. He had been shot in the throat and was taken to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. No arrests have been made in either shooting. - Darran Simon
