SEPTA, with seven rail cars still stuck in Trenton, will continue to bus passengers on the Trenton line between Levittown and Trenton.

SEPTA, with seven rail cars still stuck in Trenton, will continue to bus passengers on the Trenton line between Levittown and Trenton.

After floodwaters from Hurricane Irene receded from the Trenton station, where 16 SEPTA cars had been trapped, SEPTA crews removed nine cars to begin assessing and repairing damage.

The first four cars checked were undamaged and have been returned to service, spokeswoman Heather Redfern said Thursday. Five are still being examined, and seven are still stuck in Trenton, awaiting permission from Amtrak to be moved to a SEPTA rail yard, she said. - Paul Nussbaum
